HAVANT enjoyed a highly-successful Hampshire finals day at Haslemere.

The club won four of the six cups up for grabs on the day – from under-16 level through to the seniors.

The men retained their county crown thanks to a 4-1 win over Trojans.

Sam Broadhurst netted against his old club and was joined on the scoresheet by Jonathan Pickett (2) and Mike Deller-Merricks.

The second string began the day by winning the Open League Cup.

Karam Bolina, Andrew Lloyd and Craig Snelling scored in a 3-0 victory over Haslemere twos.

The girls’ under-16s won a thrilling penalty shootout 3-2 against Trojans.

And their male counterparts then scored a dramatic late winner to edge out Bournemouth 2-1.

The under-14 boys, however, were beaten 3-1 by Bournemouth in their encounter – just a few days before their big national finals day in London.

The senior women battled well but finished runners-up in the ladies’ cup, going down 3-1 to Trojans.

In the final game of the day, City of Portsmouth lost 8-2 to Haslemere.
