HAVANT men aim to make it six games unbeaten in National League conference west against Whitchurch at Havant College on Sunday (2pm).

And club president Chris Pickett has challenged the division’s form side to pick up maximum points before the upcoming mid-season break.

He said: ‘We now have two remaining league games (Whitchurch and Fareham) before the mid-season break and both of these games are against teams below us in the table.

‘We are very keen to secure six points from those games, which, if achieved, should move us into the top half of the table.’

But Pickett warned Havant that ninth-placed Whitchurch will not be pushovers.

He added: ‘Whitchurch earned three points last weekend with a surprise 2-1 win at home to Team Bath Buccaneers to stop them going top of the table. Everyone is taking points of each other.’

Fareham will look to inflict more pain on Team Bath when they travel to the University of Bath on Sunday (12.30pm).

And the Henry Cort outfit will travel with confidence after ending a five-game winless run in conference west with a 5-2 victory over Cheltenham last weekend.

Havant Ladies are also in action tomorrow as they go to Epsom HC (11.30am).

Last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Reading leaves Havant without a win from their first six South Clubs’ Women’s League division one matches.
