Havant Ladies led at half-time before being beaten 2-1 by high-flying Barnes in South Clubs’ Women’s League division one.
Still without a win and sitting at the bottom of the table, most didn’t give Havant a chance.
However, they produced one of their best displays of the season to take the lead against Barnes.
The visitors could not match Havant’s desire and eventually a superb goal from Sarah Johns in the 11th minute gave them the lead.
Johns picked the ball up at the top of the D after some excellent passing from Pippa Lock and Emma Evans.
She then took the ball wide before unleashing a venomous reverse-stick shot which rocketed into the Barnes goal.
The home side could have added two more goals through Johns and Pippa Lock, with the former unlucky not to have forced the ball home after a sliding effort at the far post.
Havant continued their form into the second half but Barnes began to find their way back into the game and equalised after a short corner was not cleared.
Buoyed by their equaliser, the visitors began to make some headway and added a second with just 10 minutes to go.
Meanwhile, in division 3B, Fareham kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win away at Wanderers.
The three points came courtesy of a penalty-corner strike by Emily Masson in the 57th minute.
