Solent Devils have boosted their firepower ahead of the launch of their National League south division one campaign.
The Gosport Ice Arena outfit host Bracknell Hornets in their curtain-raiser on Sunday (7pm).
And they have been buoyed by the arrivals of forwards Richard Brown and Dominik Hegyi this week.
Brown has moved from his native Canada where he enjoyed his breakthrough at Junior A level with Toronto Predators before moving to Toronto Blue Ice Jets.
He said: ‘I’ve heard a little about Solent and one of those things being a great fanbase, with a very welcoming community.
‘I’m beyond excited to get over and join the team.
‘And I look forward to playing the best I can for the team and the community.’
Meanwhile, Hegyi has arrived in Gosport from Hungary where he played for Vasas SC following a 73-match spell in MOL Liga with Ferencváros TC.
The 21-year-old said: ‘I’m very happy to be joining Solent and I can’t wait for the new season to begin.
‘It will be a new challenge and I will have to fit into a new team.
‘I know I have to be working hard all the time and I will try to help the team have a really good season.’
Devils coach Alex Murray added: ‘I have been impressed with Dominik’s work-rate, attitude and ability to find the net.
‘His style will suit the small ice pad and he doesn’t mind getting stuck in.
‘Richard has shown he has what it takes to get to the next level and I’m delighted he has chosen to join the Devils.’
