Steve Hughes made a 38 to join Dave Rees, Jamie Wilson and Russ Linkhorn as a winner.

Copnor E’s bubble burst at Craneswater A as Andy Boulton led his men to a 5-2 win.

The skipper ran in breaks of 47 and 40 as he demolished Norman Bradfield.

Rob Kirby made a 43 and Tony Hansford and Colin Rowe were also on target for the Southsea snooker kings.

Matt Hannam and Pete Rook made sure the visitors left with something.

Copnor C went down to another defeat as Portchester X returned to their castle with a 5-2 haul.

Johnny Baldacchino and Phil Ledington served the home side well with good wins over Jason Tame and Mark Kingswell.

Lee Gaylor was the best on show with a 36 to beat Dave Lawrence by almost 100.

Andy Macey and Ashley Bendall finished the scoring.

In division two, Leigh Park and Copnor F chalked up their second 5-2 scores.

Copnor Xcels went down to the Leigh Park, while Cowplain suffered at Copnor.

Richard Burnett and son Richie were in top form for Neville Moyle’s outfit.

Pete Ferguson and Danny Lumsden were also on song.

But the latter was let off the hook by visiting skipper Dave Gowing, who seems to freeze on the run in.

Andy Chambers edged out Bill Parsons and Graham Farr’s success kept the score down.

Copnor F got past Doug Powell’s team despite the efforts of Gary Curtis and Roy Steere.

Gary Green, Darren Harper and Barry Wooley all won comfortably but Gary Wilton had to battle against James Curtis who made a 34 break.

Charlie Bishop registered a fine 40 in Craneswater R’s 4-3 win at Pompey Royals.

He was unstoppable, cruising to a 150-55 victory.

Captain John Peers and Harry Yard also impressed.

Chad Wainwright and John Challacombe were excellent for the stationsiders.

Steve Orchard found Andy White tougher competition.
