The 10th Hole Tigers have had a super season taking apart opposition defences and powering to Portsmouth League division five glory.

They comfortably topped the table, losing just twice and scoring an impressive 451 goals on the way.

Captains Rosalie Cattermole and Katie Moore are delighted with the way the team have progressed.

They put it down to a strong core of the side who have been together since they started out in the Fareham League.

‘Most people have been with us since the beginning,’ said the 10th Hole captains.

‘We are sponsored by the wonderful 10th Hole Tea Rooms and Abarbistro, both based in Portsmouth.

‘The 10th Hole and Abar have strong ties with the team and we are so grateful for our kit they purchased for us.

‘We try to organise training once a week on a Monday and we are lucky to have a gym manager and personal trainer in our team who keeps us fit.’

The team have now expanded into a club, as they introduce Abar Alligators into division five next season.

Both captains added: ‘We are really excited to be entering a new team into the league so we can expand into a netball club.

‘We are moving on to big and brighter things and I hope we can do our sponsors proud.’

The team are lucky to have two umpires in Danielle Evemy and Danielle Rebbitt, who trained hard to gain their beginners awards last season, and both teams have entered the PNA mini league throughout August.

That will ensure the first team can keep up their consistency and the second team can get a taste of what’s to come for them in September.

Both teams are looking for new players.
