Wildcats have their sights set on more success in the Gosport & Fareham League.
The Bishop’s Waltham side finished third in division five last season, with nine wins from 14 matches.
They narrowly missed out on promotion but captain Dee Parker is predicting good times ahead for the team.
She said: ‘Last season we came third, playing some really good netball.
‘Our defence was considerably stronger with the addition of Lisa Coppins-Brown and this showed quite noticeably in the league table results.
‘It has probably taken a season for us all to really gel so I can only see us getting better and stronger then ever this season.
‘In fact, it is probably the strongest Wildcats team we have had yet.
‘We are not just a team, though, we are all really good friends so this lends itself to our Wildcats spirit.’
And the future continues to look bright for Wildcats.
‘Once again we have had an influx of people join our club so we will be putting another team in the AllAboutNetball League at Cams Hill School, in Fareham, and look forward to seeing how we get on there,’ added Parker.
The Wildcats were formed back in February 2009 and they have enjoyed bright fortunes ever since.
Parker said: ‘We have been very fortunate to have had the Co-Op sponsor us.
‘This has helped us with an array of things, including new league kit, new training t-shirts for the whole club, new balls and hopefully some coaching in the future.
‘Every single one of us gives 100 per cent and of course we play to win but it’s not the be all and end all, more importantly to all of us, is enjoying the game.
‘We play because we love playing netball, win or lose.’
Wildcats face Mobys tonight at 8.30pm.
