The three-race scheduled formed part of the British Automobile Racing Club’s weekend around the notoriously fast Thruxton circuit in north Hampshire.

Kendall started from fourth on the grid in the first race, but soon slipped back to 10th.

The rest of the 12 laps were taken up with trying to gain ground on those ahead, and he finished 10th.

Starting the second race sixth on the grid, Kendall started better but was halted when a major incident on lap six brought out the red flag.

Resuming with a grid start for a seven-lap sprint to the line, Kendall moved up to fourth but on the third lap dropped to fifth where he took the chequered flag.

Kendall’s car was forced to return to the pits prior to the start of the third race, and he was still there as the race got underway.

Joining the race a lap behind, he again finished in 10th place.
