And the Havant-based potter is willing to take a huge step in her bid to break into the top eight female players across the globe.

The 18-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable rise since becoming the youngest person to lift the Portsmouth League doubles title with partner Pascal Richard - at the tender age of 11.

In the seven years that have followed, White has made massive strides in Cuestars competitions and on the women's tour.

A particular high point was a recent win over world number eight Suzie Opacic at a national competition in Northampton.

But with no professionals in the female game, White has had to work in practice around her full-time job in a Fat Face call centre.

However, once things return to normality after the current Covid-19 pandemic, she wants to give rising up the rankings a real crack.

‘To be honest, I was looking at taking a year off and just solely practising on snooker to see how far I can go in the women’s game,' said White.

‘I was going to really focus on that and see what I can do.

‘But at the moment (with the current situation) I’ve got no practise facilities.

‘They’re not classed as professionals, they’re top amateurs (in the women’s game).

‘They’re really good, top amateurs.

‘Realistically, at the moment the money isn’t there.

‘It has grown so much since I’ve even been playing myself.

‘To be honest I’d like to focus on it and see how far I can get.

‘As much as I put the hours in at the moment, I did work full-time.

‘It’s difficult to put the time in.

‘To get within the top eight is something I’m aiming towards.

‘It’s a way off yet, I’m 21 at the moment but I feel like it’s definitely doable if I put the hours in.

‘If and when I get there, just seeing how far I can go and hopefully make a name for myself.'

White is on the cusp of the women's top 20, but is not going to settle for that.

Her win over Opacic and taking a frame off world number four Rebecca Kenna - along with other top players - has given the Top Spot player the belief she can mix it with the best.

‘I’ve played Reanne Evans and she’s world number one,' she added.

‘She's exceptionally good, different level type thing.

‘I’ve played a few of them, ‘I’ve taken frames off them, but haven’t quite managed to get over the line.'

White has mainly played against men since taking up the sport.

Prior to joining the women's tour, she admitted it was the opposite sex who supplied the majority of her opponents.

This year, two female players were invited to take part in the World Championships qualifiers at the Crucible.

And White dreams of one day making it to the grandest stage in the game.

‘Reanne Evans and a player from China have been invited to the qualifiers,' she said.

‘It would be nice if those could make a breakthrough.

‘Since I’ve played myself it’s progressed, so much which is really good to see.

‘That would be amazing if I got an invite (to the Crucible).'
