Pumas’ long unbeaten run ended as they are knocked off top spot in Hampshire One
The defeat saw Pumas toppled from top spot and slip to third.
It was Overton who turned up for the top of the table clash as Pumas struggled all day to get into the game.

Hide AdThe Overton forwards dominated the opening exchanges and the hosts scored two tries before a Robbie Connell penalty put the Pumas on the scoreboard.
However, it was the final seven minutes of the half that provided the most drama.
The Pumas failed to get any real continuity to their play.
Silly mistakes continued to put them under pressure and Overton ran in a third try.
An injury to winger Connell also saw him have to leave the field.

Hide AdAt the restart Overton quickly regathered the ball but a more serious injury to an Overton player delayed the game and the match was eventually moved to their spare pitch.
Despite the delay, and a chance for the Pumas to gather themselves, Overton scored again from the resulting scrum.
With seconds on the clock the Pumas finally put together their best passage of play and were rewarded with a try out wide from flanker Sam Floyd to close the half out 24-8 to Overton.
The second half started well for the Pumas with more pressure being put onto Overton's defence.

Hide AdA Liam Moggeridge penalty brought the score to 24-11 but Overton continued to capitalise on mistakes and to apply pressure.
The home side scored again through a penalty and then a try before Iain Fraser scored for Pumas.
In the final minutes Overton scored again as the Pumas tried hard to get more of a foothold in the closing passages of play.
Vice chairman Paul Greenwood said: This was a disappointing match from the Pumas perspective.
