An amazing final throw saw Serena Vincent take the ISF World Schools Championship title in Croatia.
The City of Portsmouth talent showed once again she thrives on the big stage with 16m 79cm in the last round to take the victory in the under-18 shot put.
It was a huge effort and highlighted how much she enjoys taking on the very best competition with powerful athletes from China and Slovakia pushing her all the way.
Her world title comes quickly after she completed the set of junior Hampshire titles adding the under-20 gold to her collection on Saturday with a championship best performance.
Now the 17-year-old is a winner again for England after having already won the Home Countries International meeting in Wales in March.
She’s also won the South of England and national titles indoors this year.
