Hayling’s Fin Dickinson, 17, and Charlie South, 16, of Emsworth, have been picked for the laser class squad.

The Transition Group aims to bridge the gap between youth and adult sailing, with a focus on developing youngsters into future Olympians.

Ex-Crofton School pupil Monique Vennis-Ozanne - currently studying at Barton Peveril - won the Regional Youth Sailor of the Year award at the annual RYA Dinghy Show in London earlier this year.
