And the Wickham prospect’s no-nonsense aggression has been tipped to help him adjust quickly to the paid ranks.

Donald has opted to pursue a career away from the amateur game and has signed a three-year deal with promoter Steve Goodwin.

The Team Wiseman talent is expected to campaign in the welterweight division and is out to make his bow in September.

Donald will be overseen on his journey by coach, Daron Wiseman, who has been with the 18-year-old throughout his time in the sport.

Despite turning over at a young age, Wiseman believes the talent’s style will marry well with the pro game.

And the coach can see a bright future for Donald in the years ahead.

Wiseman said: ‘I can really see Bailey’s style being suited to the pro game.

‘He has massive power in sparring and his style is perfect for it.

‘Bailey’s been sparring the pro boys around Portsmouth and I think he’s got the whole package.

‘When he sparred the pro lads in London you could the style is already there.

‘So we got talking with Steve Goodwin and things escalated quickly.

‘He’s done pretty much everything you can do now as an amateur.

‘He’s boxed for England and achieved all he wanted to do.

‘So now it’s time for the professional ranks and he can’t wait to get started.’

As well as boxing for his country, Donald picked up a bronze in the Three Nations’ Championships as an amateur.

He totalled over 40 bouts and grabbed Southern Counties’ honours five times along the way.

Wiseman added:

‘Bailey’s had great success but now is the right time to move on.

‘I’ve always make a promise to my boxers when they come to me at a young age, I will take them the whole circle in boxing.

‘It’s lovely really to be doing that with Bailey.’
