The pair had missed the first round at Cadwell Park due to the lack of sponsorship, but hit back with two third places in the second round at Snetterton.

In the first of two races at Knockhill in Scotland, Stevens and Allum again finished third.

Havant’s Ben Holland and Tom Christie - competing for the same Kawasaki team - had to retire with technical issues.

It was deja vu in the second race, with Stevens and Allum again third and Holland and Christie failing to finish.

The brothers are now fourth overall in the series.

Allum said: ‘it was hard work learning a new circuit at such a fast pace, especially with two 18-lap races in the space of an hour, so to come away with two third places was a great reward.’

The next round takes place at Donnington Park.
