Ricky Stevens is celebrating after joining forces with British Superbike team Quattro Cool Kawasaki.
The Havant driver, who clinched the 2015 WPS Formula One British Sidecar Championship alongside passenger Ryan Charlwood, announced the partnership at the Motorcycle Live show at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre.
And the former Be Wiser racers can’t wait to get started with the Bournemouth-based team.
Stevens said: ‘It’s another great opportunity for the team to move forward again with another great partnership with a top superbike team.’
Charlwood added: ‘2016 will be another exciting time for me, Ricky and the whole team.
‘We can’t wait to get started.’
The duo will sport the same livery as their British Superbike team-mates, Luke Mossey and Filip Backlund.
And Pete Extance, the owner of the Quattro Cool Kawasaki team, believes the growth in popularity of the sidecar competition made the move a no-brainer.
He said: ‘I wouldn’t previously have thought of getting involved with a sidecar team.
‘But over the last few years the profile has risen with the races at the British Superbike meetings and hopefully more people will stay to watch them.
‘Joining up with Ricky and Ryan will be a great addition to the team.
‘I couldn’t have asked for a better pair, so I’ll be looking forward to seeing more trophies in the cabinet.’
