Point is good for Fareham against Cardiff & Met

Fareham battled out an exciting 3-3 draw with Cardiff & Met in the National League men's conference west.

Martin Gough, Chris Davey and Niall Stott got the goals for the home side.

Fareham are seventh in the table and only one point behind sixth-placed University of Bristol.

In South Clubs' Women's League division 3b Fareham Ladies lost 4-1 at Teddington second team.

It meant the two teams swapped places in the table with Teddington up to fifth and Fareham down to sixth.

Fareham under-16s maintained their winning start in the England Cup with a 6-1 against Trojans.

After a tough battle in the first half the Fareham team went into the break with a 2-1 lead.

In the second half they changed gear and scored four goals.

Alex Allison and Adam Shergold both netted twice.

Rory Buckeridge also netted and Ollie Slingsby got the other goal as he crowned his debut in style.

Fareham under-16 girls were beaten 3-1 by Guildford.

It was an amazing defensive performance by the Fareham side against a very strong Guildford team.

Fareham defended heroically throughout the game and frustrated the opposition.
