Fontwell were this week forced to scrap tomorrow’s seven-race card.
Waterlogging and false ground saw the West Sussex surface fail an inspection on Thursday afternoon.
It is the second consecutive meeting the track has lost to the weather – after heavy rain put paid to action on Thursday, January 9.
Now attention will turn to their next racing on Thursday, February 13 before the National Spirit Hurdle headlines on the Sunday, February 23 card.
The £50,000 Grade 2 feature is the richest race of the season at Fontwell and was won last term by Paul Nicholls’ Prospect Wells.
