Baffins '˜going into unknown' against New College Swindon

Steve Leigh has warned Baffins Milton Rovers they can't take anything for granted against New College Swindon in their FA Vase second qualifying round tie at the PMC Stadium.

The visitors are without a point and they are bottom of the Hellenic League division one west, having conceded 24 goals in just four games.

Leigh insist his side must approach the game with the right attitude.

The Baffins boss said: '˜We are up against a very young side but must not underestimate them.

'˜For both teams it is going into the unknown.

'˜Baffins had a good run in the competition last year and we want to better that this time around.

'˜If we can repeat our level of performance from Tuesday's 8-0 win against Fleetlands then we have a good chance of progressing.'

The home side are boosted by the return of  Jason Parrish up front.

The striker got 45 minutes under his belt in midweek, scoring Baffins' opening goal.

'˜Having Jason in the side gives everyone a huge lift,' added Leigh.

The hosts are without Blu Boam, Max Davis and Tyler Yates.

Fareham Town are keen to make home advantage count in their tie against Corsham Town on Saturday at Cams Alders (3pm).

The Reds are in good form and on a six-game unbeaten run.

Stand-in manager Terry Gibson viewed the 0-0 draw at Alresford as excellent preparation for the knockout tie.

He said: '˜I thought we played well in parts to pick up a useful point.

'˜We also kept a clean sheet at a very difficult place to get a result.'

Division one side United Services are looking for an upset against premier division Brockenhurst at the Victory Stadium (3pm).

Petersfield Town welcome Westbury United to Love Lane on Saturday (3pm).

In the Wessex League premier division AFC Portchester are expecting a difficult test against fifth-placed Cowes Sports at the Crest Finance Stadium on Saturday (3pm).

Joint Royals boss Mick Catlin said: '˜The Yachtsmen look to be an improved side this season.

'˜We will have to step up again because games against them are always competitive.

'˜Another home win will put us above them and right up there.'

Horndean are in Wessex League Cup action against Hamble Club at Five Heads Park on Saturday (3pm).
