'˜It was so sudden and out of the blue.

'˜Andy, who also worked with Moneyfields for many years, was a top man and well known around the local clubs.

'˜He sat in the changing room with us at the weekend joining in all the banter.

'˜I don't know anyone who had a bad word to say about him.

'˜It totally takes the gloss off our FA Vase success and things like this put everything into perspective.

'˜Tonight's training has been called off.'

In the next round of the FA Vase Baffins have been drawn away to Western League premier division outfit Bradford Town.

Leigh recognises it will be a tough assignment as their opponents won 4-0 at Brockenhurst in the last round.

He said: '˜Whoever you play at this stage is going to be tough.

'˜Both teams had good wins in the last round.

'˜They are the equivalent standard to us and I believe that similar to us they like to play football.'

AFC Portchester visit Alresford Town tonight in the Wessex League premier division (7.45pm).

Joint-manager Mick Catlin wants the Royals to build on their win against Bemerton Heath Harlequins.

He said: '˜After two defeats it was good to put in a winning performance.

'˜It was a professional display.

'˜We must look to maintain the momentum.

'˜Alresford is never an easy place to go and they have been in good form.'

The visitors are without Jake Morgan who is suspended.
