Third-placed AFC Dunstable are the visitors to Dover Road tomorrow (3pm).

The two sides fought out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.

Moneyfields have struggled since Christmas but turned the form book on its head last weekend with a 2-1 win at Chalfont St Peter.

Manager Dave Carter is adamant his side can still claim an end of season play-off place.

‘It was an important win for us at Chalfont with Dan Wooden getting both our goals,’ said the Moneyfields boss.

‘With striker Ryan Pennery leaving for Gosport Borough, Dan stepped up to the goalscoring plate.

‘Hopefully he can keep that going.

‘Now we are starting to get players back from injury and nearer to full fitness things should look up.

‘We hadn’t been performing badly but just had a spell when results weren’t going our way.

‘All teams have those runs some time in the season.’

Carter is expecting another rugged game against a big, strong and powerful Dunstable side.

The situation has turned around since the two teams first met.

Then Moneyfields were top of the table and Dunstable were third.

Carter wants Moneyfields to use the Chalfont victory as a starting point for another good run.

‘If we can return to our early-season form, when we went 15 games unbeaten, then we will make the play-offs,’ he added.

‘After this game we have got a nice run of fixtures which includes games against four of the bottom six sides.

‘Hopefully we can utilise those games to make up some of the lost ground.

‘One thing we do know is other teams don’t like coming to us.

‘They know they are in for a tough game and that we are generally hard to beat at home.

‘Even when we lost 5-2 to Hayes & Yeading it was one of our best performances, with regards to the number of passes we made.’

Carter is also encouraged by the return of striker Howard Neighbour.

The former Petersfield man was ruled out by a serious injury in pre-season.

In the second half at Chalfont he and fellow striker Steve Hutchings were a major headache for the home side’s defence.
