'˜Complete performance' needed from the Hawks on the road at Ebbsfleet

Lee Bradbury is calling for a '˜complete performance' from the Hawks as they look to get a welcome win on the road at Ebbsfleet.

The Hawks have been unable to put the whole package together in recent matches and been punished for it.

As a result they have slipped into the relegation places in the Vanarama National League.

Ebbsfleet haven't been in very good form at home and so it does give the Hawks a chance if they can tighten up on Saturday (3pm).

Boss Bradbury thinks his team are progressing well and is happy to see improvements.

He said: '˜We have a system that works for us and allows us to stay strong.

'˜It is a case of us putting all the aspects of our game together at once.

'˜So far when we get one part of our game right we let ourselves down in others.

'˜We have got better at defending set-pieces which was causing us a problem.

'˜Ebbsfleet will be tough because they will be licking their wounds after a 4-1 defeat at Wrexham.

'˜They have lost four of their five home games and we must look to exploit that.'

The Hawks need to avoid a third-successive league defeat in their bid to climb out of the bottom four.

They then go to Barnet on Tuesday as the difficult matches continue to come thick and fast.

But performances away from home give them plenty of reason to be hopeful.

Bradbury added: '˜We have some tough games coming up and we must remain focused.

'˜Our performances on the road have been good but we have to be more clinical.

'˜In our last away game we pushed unbeaten league-leaders Harrogate Town all the way.

'˜We didn't get the result but we caused them a lot of problems.

'˜In this league the key is remaining in games and to do that you have to be solid and strong.

'˜I feel we have been getting better at this.'

The Hawks continue to be hit by injury problems and the latest worry is Paul Robinson. The experienced defender has a knee injury and hasn't been able to train.

He will face a late fitness test before the game.

Wes Fogden remains another absentee for the visitors and he is likely to be missing for a few more weeks.

His quality and infectious enthusiasm in the middle of the park has been badly missed in recent games.

The midfield continues to be a problem area with the combative Mike Carter also ruled out with an ankle problem.

On a positive note defender Jordan Rose got some useful minutes under his belt against Moneyfields in the Hampshire Senior Cup.

Bradbury is likely to stick with in-form Nicke Kabamba up front with Ibra Sekajja playing behind him.

Despite the injury problems Bradbury insists his side are capable of getting a result. Hawks: Young, Strugnell, Woodford, Harris, Rose, Williams, Stock, Lewis, Huggins, Sekajja, Kabamba, Cosgrave, P. Robinson, Tarbuck, Pavey, Rutherford, A. Robinson.
