In a match of few chances Borough were reduced to 10-men after 65 minutes when Harry Medway picked up his second booking of the game.

Borough boss McAllister was happy with the way his side battled for a point as they drew for the first time this season.

He said: '˜We have had big issues over the last few weeks with the number of goals we have been conceding.

'˜To go down to 10 men and defend the way we did deserves credit.

'˜It showed desire and an attitude that we were not going to lose the match.

'˜In the final 15 minutes they put us under a lot of pressure.

People might look at the game and think it was going to be easy because they are bottom of the league.

'˜That was never going to be the case because they have turned the corner recently and it showed.

'˜From having a problem defending we now don't seem to be able to score.

'˜We know we can play better but all the hard work put in on our defending finally paid off.

'˜Yes we can pass the ball better and create more chances.

'˜I have to be pleased though with our defending against a team who worked their socks off and scrapped for their lives.

'˜This clean sheet gives us something to build on.

'˜The players showed they cared with their resilience and character.'

Chesham started the stronger of the two sides and were unlucky when they rattled the crossbar.

The closest Borough came was also before the break when Pat Suraci fired wide of the post.

On-loan Brighton defender Matthew Weaire gave another good display in the heart of the Borough defence.
