Hawks' Kabamba says side defended well in home draw

The Hawks battled to a 1-1 draw against fancied Salford City at Westleigh Park.

Alfie Pavey put the hosts ahead midway through the half poaching a goal from close-range.

The Ammies equalised through Adam Rooney who diverted the ball in from close-range at a corner.

Kabamba felt the biggest decision of the game went against the Hawks with fifteen minutes left to play.

'Salford shouldn't have finished the game with eleven players,' said Kabamba.

'He put both hands on our player and these days you can't do that.

'I am surprised the referee didn't send him off.

'˜If he had gone off at that point I think we would have been in cruise control and gone on to win it comfortably.

'It was a hard fought game and I felt we could have nicked a goal to get the win.

'They were a big side with a lot of players over six foot.

'We matched them for most of the game and we defended well when we had to.'
