The eighth-placed home side are aiming to move closer back to the play-off places.

Carter has warned his players against any complacency.

‘We have to make sure that we don’t take anything for granted,’ said Carter.

‘These games are always potential banana skins for sides.

‘It is up to us to make sure that we go out, apply ourselves and adapt to the conditions.

‘If the game goes ahead the pitch is bound to be soft and wet.

‘That can prove a great leveller.

‘It happened to us at Aylesbury United a bit in our last game.

‘It was on a poor pitch and we had to work really hard on it.

‘We have to make sure that we play to our standards and are not going to come down to our opponents level.

‘That means playing our game at the tempo we usually play.

‘Our home record has been good.

‘We beat Arlesey 3-0 up at their place earlier in the season.

‘If we play to our true potential then we should prove too powerful and too strong.’

Experienced central defender Brett Poate is still ruled out by injury.

Carter is hoping to have veteran Poate back in contention for his side next weekend.

Meanwhile, full-back Louie Martin looks set to return for Moneys.

One pleasing aspect for Carter has been the progress made by Howard Neighbour of late

The striker missed the first half of the season after picking up a serious injury in pre-season.

He has now got three lots of 90 minutes under his belt and scored his first goal at Aylesbury.

‘With Ryan Pennery and Dan Wooden both leaving, Howard is now getting the chance to start games,’ said Carter.

‘He is getting stronger and more confident every game.

‘His fantastic first touch helps bring other players around him into the game.

‘Having him and Steve Hutchings up front gives us two powerful strikers.

‘With Marley Ridge bombing on from midfield it gives us a good goal threat.

‘With the other teams immediately above us all playing each other this is a chance for us to make good ground.’
