Alfie Rutherford will be back for the Hawks after a good impact on loan at Eastbourne

His side have not scored for four games forcing the manager to act.

Rutherford has been recalled from his loan spell at Eastbourne Borough and goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night's Vanarama National League contest against Maidenhead United at Westleigh Park (7.45pm).

The young striker hit a hat-trick for the Sussex side on Saturday, showing the potent goalscoring touch the Hawks have been missing.

Bradbury will hope he can now grab his chance to get among the goals at the higher level.

The Hawks boss said: '˜The time is right to bring Alfie back and he will get his chance in the next few games.

'˜We have been struggling to score goals and he has been banging them in at a level below.

'˜He has regained his sharpness and is obviously in a good place.'

Before he went out on loan Rutherford was limited to mainly substitute appearances.

He showed at Braintree, however, just how effective he can be.

With the Hawks trailing he was sent on late in the game and turned the match around.

In stoppage time he set up Nicke Kabamba for an equaliser and then headed the winning goal seconds later.

The Hawks need a win to give themselves a lift.

They will hope they can profit from facing sides closer to them in the table with 18th-placed Maidenhead at home on Tuesday night then another match at Westleigh Park against 14th-placed FC Halifax, who have been struggling for form recently, on Saturday.
