With heavy snow forecast across areas of the country, Borough want to avoid making another long wasted journey.

Alex Pike and his squad have already made the trip once this season only to have the game postponed half an hour before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Pike needs his team to display far greater urgency than in their disappointing home defeat by Stratford Town.

That defeat left Borough four points adrift at the bottom of the league.

They still have two games in hand on relegation rivals Dunstable Town but they are running out very quickly.

Pike realises the importance of the game.

‘Every game for us until the end of the season is a cup final,’ said the Borough boss.

‘We need to provide a greater goal threat going forward.

Leigh was hugely disappointed by the 3-1 home defeat against Brockenhurst.

‘We need to pick our game up,’ the Baffins boss said.

‘Players have to understand at this level they are coming up against better and more organised teams.

‘The team didn’t do themselves justice in the last game. We keep gifting teams goals and can’t afford to keep doing that.’
