Havant Dolphins are riding the crest of a wave.
But head coach Mark Norton has warned them not to rest on their laurels.
After claiming league and cup honours last season, the Hooks Lane under-15s crushed Banbury 44-12 as they kicked off their pre-season campaign.
Norton knows his side must continue to improve if they are to be successful this term, though.
He said: ‘We have a lot to live up to following last season’s outstanding achievements.
‘Previous results are no guarantee of future success, so we will need to raise the bar again this season.’
Havant boast 45 players at under-15 level – split between the Dolphins and the Sharks. In the past two seasons the former have been Hampshire cup winners, as well as league champions.
They also hold a record within Hampshire as the only team not to concede a point in league action.
The Sharks also celebrated league success and remained undefeated in 14 matches.
