Havant will be looking to their form players as they aim for a return to winning ways against Dover at Hooks Lane (3pm).

The home side have promoted three players – Jim White, Matt Hart, and Pete Living – after they impressed for the second team in recent weeks.

Havant have lost their past two games in London one south after opening the season with a couple of wins.

‘If players do well they will get an opportunity to show what they can do in the senior side,’ said rugby manager Rob Matthews.

‘The lads coming in all produced excellent performances against Tottonians in the second team last week.

‘It also gives them the opportunity to gain more senior experience, which can only be good for the squad.

‘We need to get back to winning ways and return to how we played in our first two games. It is important to regain our confidence.

‘In our first two games we showed a lot of determination but since then we have tended to withdraw inside ourselves after going behind.

‘We have to be remain competitive because we’ve some hard and important games ahead of us.

‘The top sides in this league have been together for a few years and possess greater cohesiveness.

‘That is something we are working towards.’

Scrum-half Liam Davenport, winger Dickie Dukes and Ross Parkins are all unavailable.

Winger Loz Blackburn, meanwhile, is absent for three weeks after being called up for the Royal Navy squad for the Inter-Services World Championships in Australia.
