Portsmouth Valkyries are aiming to continue their excellent form as they travel to take on Rosslyn Park Ladies on Sunday.

The home side are yet to record a win in six matches this season in the Women’s National Championship south east west one.

While the Valkyries are unbeaten having won all six of their games. 

Coach Mark Witcher said: ‘Park are always a tough side to beat at home.

‘We hope to continue with our fast, free-flowing rugby while maintaining our strong defensive record.’

With the Christmas break coming up The Valkyries are keen to maintain the pressure on league-leaders London Welsh. 

There are call ups to the first team squad for Rosie Staples and Sophie Harris who have impressed in two matches in the second team. 

New signing Megan Jones also gets the nod along with loosehead prop Leah Lind and second row Sandy Newsham. 

However, Valkyries will be without the services of scrum-half Charlie Morgan, Abbi Reid and Izzy Rawlinson.

Meanwhile, Havant Ladies host London Welsh Ladies at Hooks Lane.
