Scott Compton showed his class with a brilliant break of 106 in Copnor A’s 5-2 win over Copnor B in the Portsmouth Billiards League.

Steve Toms, Mark Tillison and Ant Lacey were also on the mark, while Norman Bradfield and John Oldfield kept the score down with the latter notching visits of 52, 43 and 31.

Leaders Craneswater A got the better of Craneswater Z with Steve Cole, Mike Talmondt and Rob Kirby pocketing wins.

Copnor F went second with a 5-2 triumph over Craneswater R.

Barry Wooley, Rob Derry, Alan Wakefield and Dave Ellis had it all their own way.

Leigh Park and Portchester are still looking for their first win after defeats to Portchester X and Copnor C respectively.

Steve Lawrence hit a 66 for Copnor C in their 5-2 victory, while Portchester X won a ding-dong battle 4-3 thanks to Matt James’ decisive score.

Cowplain are having a great time – with four wins from five matches.

Their latest success was a 5-2 home win over Topspot.

Richard Williams was a big winner followed by Will Garrett, Roy Steere and Pete Gorvin.

Ben Hounsome and Jamie Wilson kept the score down.
