Copnor A continued their perfect record with a 7-2 win against Craneswater R in Portsmouth Summer League division one.

Lee Eden, Kev Harding, Jon Sunderland, Scott Compton and Ant Lacey all won singles matches for Copnor.

Harry Yard won his singles for the R team and combined with John Peers to win in the doubles.

Chasers Craneswater A crushed Craneswater Z 7-2.

For the A side, Pedro Ferguson, Mike Talmondt, Andy Boulton, Steve Cole and Rob Kirby all won their singles to set up the win.

For the Z team, the only success was that of Aaron Brett who won his singles.

With the A team winning two out of the three doubles, the game was truly out of reach for the Z team.

Copnor B had their best result of the season after losing 5-4 to Portchester X.

Trevor Sanders and John Oldfield were the heroes for Copnor.

But Neil Turp, Matt James, Ashley Bendall and Jason Tame all won their singles for Portchester.

North End enjoyed a 6-3 win against Alexandra in division two.

Colin Elliott won on the black, Ian Pledge did the same, Mike Dorey cleared the last four colours to win, and Mark Richmond also won his singles for North End.

Tony Best and Matt Sheath replied for Alexandra.

Copnor D won a close battle against Bellair B 5-4.

It all came down to the doubles after Paul Jagger, Wayne Talley and John Morrison won for Bellair.

But Copnor’s Dave Glover, Tony Bushnell and Jason Jobber made it 3-3.

Leigh Park turned on the style to beat Craneswater Q.

In division three, Copnor Cuestars beat Pompey Royals 5-4.

Chad Wainwright, Paul Chivers and Paul Tinsley battled hard for the Royals.

But Daniel Compton, Rio Smith and Ashley Smith made it 3-3.

Callum White and Rio Smith put Cuestars in front but Paul Chivers and Steve Orchard replied.

It was left to Ryan Compton and Ashley Smith who got their doubles to win it.

Top Spot beat Cowplain C 8-1. Skipper Ray Axton won his singles for Cowplain.

Bill Phillips, Jamie Wilson, Matt Johnson, Nathan Hickley and Steve Wilson all starred for Top Spot.

Doug Powell’s Cowplain B beat Copnor F 7-2.
