Craneswater A turned on the style to beat Copnor A 9-3 in division one.

Scott Compton’s men were chasing the runners-up spot but the leaders showed no mercy.

Mike Talmondt, Steve Cole, with a 43, and Rob Kirby all chalked up doubles.

Craneswater Z moved up after a 7-5 win at their Southsea base against struggling Emsworth.

Greg Harding won for the away side but Nigel Ward and Mark Turner lifted the hosts.

Al’s Club A recorded an 8-4 success against Jason Tame’s Portchester X.

Trevor Sanders, Matt Hannam and Matt James were on song for the victors.

Pete Ferguson gave Leigh Park A the lead at Cowplain Z.

However, Rob Furby hit back to level the scores at 6-6.

Division two leaders Craneswater Q powered to a 9-3 success against Copnor E.

Dave Egan, Graeme Tregardine, Tony Lee and Lee Paice took charge, while John Shervell helped Copnor gain some respectability.

Cowplain Gas beat second-placed Cowplain A 7-5.

Russ Linkhorn hit a 35 break to give Cowplain A a decent start but Paul Lees equalised.

Dave Rees struck for the A squad but Neil Kirby and Mike Scott notched doubles to pinch the glory.

Bellair B beat Bellair A 7-5. Paul Skinner served the A side well but Wayne Talley and Jim Baldwin got the B team over the line.

Post Office A won 8-4 against Copnor D.

Skipper Jamie Farrow, Andy McWiggan and George Mountford won two apiece for the victors.

Leaders Copnor Xcels were held up by Craneswater R in division three.

Kevin Figgins and Tony Horten put the top team in charge before Chris Davies and Andy White responded to make it 6-6.

North End Bowls had to settle for a 6-6 draw against Copnor Cuestars A. Every player won a frame.

Leigh Park B lost 9-3 at home to Carlton.

Gary Marshall, Mel Davis, Pete Morgan and Jeff Oakes impressed for Carlton.

Alan Freemantle and Matt Sheath helped Alexandra Bowls beat SESA Broadoak 7-5. Mark Restall replied with two.

James Curtis and Dave Pitman bagged a brace in Cowplain’s 7-5 verdict against Copnor F.

Copnor Cuestars B recorded an 8-4 win against Cowplain C.

Chloe White, Callum White, Rio Smith and Sam Laxton delivered the goods for the young guns.

Al’s Club and Pompey Royals drew 6-6. Dave George and Kelvin Connor starred for the Portchester outfit before Paul Tinsley and Dave Chivers replied.
