Now Keet has the chance to work for the Vitality Netball Superleague club.

She said: '˜I've been lucky and have tremendous support from our local England netball community coach and the best team of umpires I could wish for and so the leagues are almost running without me.

'˜Not one to sit about, I decided to take on a new challenge.

'˜A friend of mine sent me details of this job role and I just went for it.'

Based at Surrey Sports Park, Surrey Storm have won the Superleague championship twice.

Storm's new director of netball Mikki Austin believes Keet will help the club to bring in new players from the area.

She said: '˜We have a huge region and an amazing fan base so we would like to expand our outreach and take more netball opportunities to them.

'˜Having Helen in this role will allow us to do just that.

'˜This role is about getting involved with schools, clubs and linking up all the avenues from participation to performance at its highest.'

Keet is looking forward to seeing players develop and hopefully go on to make a big impression with Storm.

She added: '˜I'm so excited, it's an amazing chance to spread more netball within our area and partner up with some of our local schools.

'˜We are already providing coaching sessions, taster sessions and even some lucky girls are getting player appearance coached sessions with some of our star players like Mikki Austin.

'˜It doesn't stop there, though.

'˜There will also be some opportunities for our local coaches and umpires to get involved with Storm Camps and other initiatives that will run.
