Fareham Nomads talent clinches national medal
The 15-year-old Fareham Nomads talent clinched the 50m backstroke medal by just 0.02 of a second.
Davies lowered his personal best by almost one second as he clocked a time of 29.02sec.

Hide AdNomads head coach Davi Ferreira said: '˜Joe had an excellent race.
'˜He had a very good start, maintained his stroke through to the middle 20 to 25 metres and finished very strong.
'˜Joe finished third in a very hard-fought race '“ with the fourth swimmer finishing just 0.02 seconds slower. A massive well done to Joe.'
A week earlier Davies raced at the British Summer National Championships in the 100m and 200m backstroke, also at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

Hide AdHe finished 20th in the 15-years age group in the former in a time of 1min 2.89sec.
And he followed that up with 18th in the 200m event after stopping the clock in 2.15.24 '“ another huge improvement on his personal best.
Ferreira added: '˜It was a great first experience at the British Summer National Championships for Joe.
'˜There was a bit of nervousness but that is getting better as he begins to get used to the big stage.'
