An evening of Black and blue

Meon Valley Orchestra

BIG READ: Classical music is Bach in fashion as orchestras grow

Joe Black promises an hilarious evening of songs, sass and satire at the Kings, Southsea, tonight (7.30pm).

Don your finest finery and leave your troubles at the door (he says). Allow yourself to be dragged kicking and screaming on a (filthy) song-filled journey showing how bitter, jaded and indecently funny you can become by living on a diet of sex, drugs and vaudeville.

Dressing up is encouraged – top hats and tails, parlour wigs, gender-bending, drag kings, drag queens, handlebar moustaches, asylum chic, 1920s and 30s, ball gowns, sequin dresses, funeral attire are all welcome.

Tickets: (023) 9282 8282 or kings-southsea.com.
