He says: '˜There are very few people that can genuinely say they're going to make it - but I know that I'm going to.'

Mr Bunday believes his loyalty is one of his best qualities along with the fact he loves not knowing what is around the corner but admits he finds it difficult to '˜switch off'.

The Apprentice returns to BBC One at 9pm next Wednesday (October 3).

Baroness Brady and Claude Littner resume duties as Lord Sugar's trusted advisers and his '˜eyes and ears' on the tasks, reporting back on the candidates' every decision in the boardroom.

This year, The Apprentice will be bigger and better than ever and Lord Sugar will up the ante right from the start and warns the candidates to '˜expect the unexpected'.

For his first challenge, Lord Sugar immediately sends the candidates abroad - with a strong word of warning ringing in their ears; '˜Remember, this is NOT a holiday'.

And if the candidates statements are anything to go by '“ it could be a vintage year for the show.

Here are some of the biggest pre-show brags from this series:

- '˜I know everything. Call me '˜Google'... it's my middle name.'

- '˜There's no need to watch your back when I'm already two steps in front.'

- '˜I am a mix of Willy Wonka drinking an espresso martini'¦ classy and sophisticated on the outside; inside, a little bit crazy and wacky but full of brilliant ideas.'

It sounds like Hampshire's own Mr Bunday will have a few big egos to navigate if he wants to successfully become Lord Sugar's business partner.
