Artists young and old are called on

For the past few weeks the University of Portsmouth and city locals have united to build a timber art installation at Guildhall Walk.

Now, organisers of the scheme, known as #IHeartPortsmouth are urging people to join an event to help complete the sculpture by creating unique clay tiles.

The free workshop, which is open to all ages and abilities, is taking place on Monday at the Omega Centre, in Omega Street, Somerstown, from 2pm to 6pm.

Clay tiles will be provided and will form part of the timber structure once it is completed.
