The Albany Piano Trio joins Havant Chamber Orchestra at Ferneham Hall

Three soloists are on offer in Havant Chamber Orchestra's concert, with the all-female Albany Piano Trio playing Beethoven's concerto for piano, violin and cello.

The programme begins with Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro overture, but in the second half of the concert Robin Browning turns to 20th century music, beginning with Sibelius’s incidental music for Maeterlinck’s play, Pelleas et Melisande, and ending with Prokofiev’s bubbly Classical Symphony.

Robin says: ‘Sibelius is the composer I feel closest to, have most to say about and have kinship with. Something about his voice speaks to me more than others.’
