Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is an integral part of Portsmouth Guildhall history.

Since the rebuilt hall opened in 1959 it has performed there more than 500 times, bringing some of the world’s greatest conductors and soloists to the city.

With a national and international reputation, the BSO has been a cultural beacon since its foundation in 1893.

The orchestra has worked with such illustrious figures as Bartók, Sibelius, Holst, Stravinsky and Vaughan Williams.

This exhibition shows images by London-based photographer Eric Richmond, who has worked with the BSO for the past three years. This new look which integrates the photos into the main season brochure and other publicity materials, focuses on the musicians of the BSO.

This free exhibition is presented by Portsmouth Cultural Trust and the BSO.
