Circus of Horrors, Ferneham Hall in Fareham REVIEW: '˜The performances both horrified and amazed the crowd'

Currently touring the UK with its new show, The Psycho Asylum, the audience was treated to a spectacle of dizzying stunts and dark magic, all seamlessly woven into a rock and roll musical performance.

This show is not for the faint-hearted and is certainly not for kids either. The opening of the show had language that would make a sailor blush '“ and some of the acts had the audience gasping in sheer horror.

Throughout the show there was a sense of danger that kept people on the edge of their seats. From swallowing a cutlass to the Mongolian Laughing Boy drilling through his own nose, the performances both horrified and amazed the crowd.

This is some of the more tame stuff from the show as well '“ without giving too much away, there are some truly stomach-turning moments that some audience members just couldn't bear to watch.

From a technical standpoint the show was spot on as well. The make-up and costume design was faultless, and the music was almost all original work from Dr Haze and his band.

The show is returning to the region with a performance at the Kings Theatre in Southsea in February '“ if you can stomach it, I would wholeheartedly recommend going.
