Giselle and The Nutcracker at The Kings, Southsea

Moscow City Ballet comes to the Kings with a double-bill of ballet.

Giselle (Tuesday 26) is the quintessential romantic ballet, a story of unrequited love set to a beautifully tragic score by Adolphe Adam. A peasant girl discovers the real identity of her true love with devastating consequences, in a tale of betrayal, supernatural spirits and a love that transcends death.

A perennial seasonal favourite, The Nutcracker (Wednesday 27 – Thursday 28) is complete with stunning costumes, sumptuous sets and Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece score.
