Robin Hancox, marketing manager at Mayflower came on behalf of the theatre to collect the award and says: ‘I’m really delighted to have collected this on behalf of the theatre. We're a regional theatre so we don't just serve the people of Southampton, we serve the people of Hampshire, Dorset and beyond, and it's great that we have these wonderful productions coming here.

‘Matilda was a great production last summer, and it brought in lots of families from around the region, and they were thrilled to see this great West End production that we can bring to the theatre.

‘To be able to get this award on the King’s Theatre stage means a lot – they have great productions coming here as well.’
