HMS Sultan Summer show unveils its thrilling line-up for this year's event

HORSEBACK stuntmen who dazzled on hit BBC drama Poldark are saddling up to gallop into HMS Sultan's Summer Show in Gosport.

Headliners for the annual bonanza have been announced, with Atkinson Action Horses among the new acts in this June’s spectacle.

The animals and their riders have carved a niche for themselves, not only appearing in Poldark but also in Victoria and gangster drama Peaky Blinders.

And discount tickets are now on sale for the bonanza, which is expected to attract thousands of people to the naval base.

Gosport Borough Council’s leader, Councillor Mark Hook has urged people to book their tickets. He said: ‘This is always one of the highlights of the year and is something special for Gosport.

‘I am sure that this year will be no different.’

The summer show is kicking off over the Father’s Day weekend on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18.

Advance tickets for the action are now available at a discounted rate.

Among the attractions are three-time British motorcross freestyle champion, Jamie Squibb and the Squibb Freestyle Stunt Team. His team will wow crowds with a display of airborne motorcycle acrobatics and stunts.

In addition, Rockwood Dogs Display team will be showing off their tricks.

Elsewhere, the show’s main arena will have interactive games, displays and craft and steam fairs.

In the big top visitors can enjoy circus performances.

Other attractions include high ropes, zip wires and a reverse bungee catapult. There are stalls advertising local charities and community groups too.

Discounted advance tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for children, £16 for a family or £5 for OAPs and the disabled. Regular prices are £8 for adults, £4 children, £20 for families and £6 for OAPs and the disabled.
