Tanya Smith, from Portsmouth, won the top prize after buying a scratchcard in Tesco on Crasswell Street while shopping with friends.

The 30-year-old said: ‘We’d all popped into Tesco to do some shopping and decided to treat ourselves to some scratchcards.

‘My friend had a £100,000 Red scratchcard so I decided to do the same, and while she didn’t have a win I discovered the symbol for £100,000!

‘I just stood there saying ‘I’ve won big, I’ve really got a big one’ and when my four friends all took a look we were just screaming and jumping about with the excitement!’

The Portsmouth FC employee put her winning scratchcard in her bra for safe keeping.

She said: ‘I didn’t have my bag with me and my friends wouldn’t let me leave it in my pocket, so I ended up standing in the supermarket with a £100,000 winning scratchcard stuffed in my bra!’

Tanya is all set to book a trip to Disneyland Paris for her five-year-old daughter.

She said: ‘My first priority is to invest a large chunk of the money for the future, but there will be treats along the way and top of that list is my daughter’s dream trip to Disneyland Paris.

‘She’s always dreamt of being a Disney princess but before this I knew that a trip to Disneyland was beyond our grasp. Now it seems dreams really can come true.

‘I’ve already told my daughter we will be going, just as soon as we have our passports sorted out.’

While Disneyland is her little girl’s dream, Tanya’s is more grounded.

She said: ‘I’m going to replace my daughter’s bed and our sofa, and the only other thing is for me to start taking driving lessons.

‘I haven’t been able to afford to do this before but now I can, and even buy a little car when I do pass.

‘I don’t know much about cars but it will have to be a pink princess one I imagine.’

Tanya added: ‘This is just beyond my wildest dreams. It’s not every day you win £100,000 and I’ll be savouring the experience for a long time to come.’
