REVIEW: Jack Savoretti at the Guildhall, Southampton

Less than a week since the release of Jack Savoretti's new album, Sleep No More, a sell-out crowd fills the Guildhall.

Opening with the title track, Savoretti takes us through a selection of tracks from the new album, and despite only being out for a few days, the loyal fans sing along with admiration.

Savoretti interacts, enjoyably, with the crowd, who seem to love his ever-growing popularity.

His gravelly voice and mellow, yet energetic sounds take you through a mixture of soft love songs, such as When We Were Lovers and Lullaby Loving, to lively upbeat numbers like Deep Waters and Start Living In The Moment, which please all.

Finishing with the classic Written In Scars, the roof was suitably raised, along with the temperature on an otherwise cold Sunday evening.

Jack Savoretti should be on everyone’s playlist.
