A CITY rock school is on the move to Fareham in a bid to take on more students.

The Rock Project, which is currently run in Portsmouth, will move to Orchard Lea Junior School in January.

The school, which is one of more than 80 in the UK, teaches youngsters aged seven to 18 how to sing, play drums, bass and guitar before performing as bands and The Rock Project Portsmouth organiser, Sam Fry, said the move will be ‘really exciting’.

At the new base, sessions will take place every Thursday during term time – with the junior group, for seven to 11-year-olds, from 4.15pm to 6.15pm and children aged 12-18 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
