Sinful fun, Kosheen and alternative Delights in Sam Cherry’s Club Scene

Tonight over at The Wedegwood Rooms, it’s that time of the month for Sin! – the night that boasts of being Southsea’s biggest free club night!

From 11pm until 2.30am, you can expect sinful-pop from every decade in the main room and metal/hard-rock anthems in room two.

Tomorrow, The Wine Vaults on Albert Road will host an all-day event with Longlive Co-Operative as they present Southsea Old Guard 18/19 in aid of the charity No More Durty Water.

The event boasts an international football theme with more than 50 DJs line-up across three team-themed rooms (Brazil, Argentina and Columbia) from midday until 1am. The bill includes Lee Fisher, Lindsey Spinzee, DJ Warren, DJ Lemon, Chris Vaux, Simon Heartfield and Charlie Longlive. While the event doesn’t specify exactly what the music will entail, you can expect plenty of house, techno, funk and disco! The same night, back at The Wedgewood Rooms, Beats and Swing return with Sian Evans Kosheen!

Sian was frontwoman of Kosheen – a breakbeat/drum and bass collective who had albums in the UK’s top 10 throughout the 2000s – she is also well-known for featuring on the massive number one single Louder, with DJ Fresh, in 2011.

She’s also collaborated with the likes of Chicane and Stanton Warriors. Support comes from Frankie Knight and Andrew Robertson. Tickets cost £18, entry is from 7.30pm until 11.30pm.

Monday sees Delight at The Astoria on Guildhall Walk from 10pm until 2am. Entry is £4 and you can expect the finest pop-punk, rock and alternative electronic anthems from resident DJs Will ChuMp, Daddy Alex, Sam Hatty, Joskii and Alex D. More details at facebook.com.
