Talk will look at activities in Portsmouth in 1870

A TALK will be looking at what went on in Portsmouth in 1870.

Len Russell will be giving the talk at the next meeting of The Dickens Fellowship on Tuesday.

The meeting will be held in St Swithun’s Church Hall, in Waverley Road, Southsea, from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.

Secretary Geoffrey Christopher said: ‘For our book of the year there will also be a talk by Prof Tony Pointon entitled The Pickwick Syndrome. All are welcome to attend. For members it is free and non-members £1.’
