Bill Kenwright's production of Evita promises to be a great night out. Telling the story of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita follows Eva's journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary power which ultimately lead her to be heralded as the '˜spiritual leader of the nation' by the Argentine people.

 

Ventoux at the New Theatre Royal, October 19

Ventoux is the most fearsome mountain encountered in the Tour de France. But this is the story of two drug-fuelled cyclists who performed some of the best cycling ever seen. Swan Lake is one of Tchaikovsky's best works, featuring some of ballet's most memorable music and breath-taking dance. The tale of two young women, Odette and Odilie, who resembles each other so strikingly one can easily be mistaken for the other. But Odette is turned into a swan by an evil curse.
