The Chichester International Film Festival is the largest film festival on the south coast.

This month it celebrates its 25th year running, with the screening of 150 films from all around the world.

From Thursday, August 11 – Sunday, August 28, the films will be shown at the festival’s home, Chichester Cinema at New Park, and at six other venues.

Amongst the 150 films are British premieres, previews, new releases and documentaries.

Pedro Almodóvar’s new film Julieta is the opening special preview film on the first day of the festival. Closing the event is the film The Carer, a comedy drama starring Brian Cox as an ageing acting legend.

Also on the programme are European, American, and Chinese films, plus archive and silent films, and much more.

Directors, producers, actors and those associated with film-making are expected to attend the festival, including film critic Derek Malcolm, Tony Palmer (The Beatles and World War Two), and more.
